What Mamas Do
You see it all the time mid-spring into early summer. The baby birds have fledged the nest, but they still insist that the parent birds continue to feed them. There can be such a racket as the young pester and call, ruffle their wings, following their adult parents around. They finally do get it, but for awhile, mama bird is patient and continues to feed her young. These are as species of finches as far as I can tell.
